Autism & ADHD Observational Assessment

Family

I offer individual counseling for children, adolescents, and adults in 45–60 minute sessions. My approach is steady, collaborative, and focused on helping you understand yourself more clearly. We spend time building a real working relationship, identifying what’s getting in your way, and setting goals that actually make sense for your life.
Sessions are comfortable and conversational. I help you sort through your thoughts, reactions, and patterns so things feel less overwhelming and more manageable. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, fear, stress, or uncertainty, therapy gives you space to breathe, make sense of your experiences, and move forward with more confidence and clarity.
I offer a three-session observational assessment designed to help clarify whether Autism or ADHD may be present, particularly in children, adolescents and adults who were previously overlooked or misdiagnosed. This focused screener includes structured clinical interviews, naturalistic observation, and a review of developmental and functional history. At the conclusion of the three sessions, I provide a detailed clinical impression and an expert recommendation—based on over 20 years of experience—regarding whether further neuropsychological testing is advised to confirm a diagnosis. This service is ideal for individuals seeking clarity, direction, or a professional opinion before pursuing a full diagnostic evaluation.
Adults
Autism Parenting

Many adults face challenges related to career, family life, relationships, and daily stress. Having a supportive space to reflect, gain insight, and make sense of what you’re experiencing can make a real difference. I work with adults dealing with ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, phobias, and general overwhelm.
I also bring extensive experience in parenting support, offering practical, positive strategies for navigating difficult behaviors and family dynamics. In addition, I have a strong interest in working with men—helping them explore identity, emotional expression, fatherhood, and personal growth in a comfortable, judgment-free environment.
Autism Parenting Support & Strategy Sessions
Parenting a child with autism — or a child you suspect may be autistic — requires more than generic parenting advice. It requires developmental clarity, strategic thinking, and informed advocacy.
I offer focused parent sessions designed to help you understand what is truly driving your child’s behavior, social differences, emotional regulation challenges, and learning profile. Together, we move beyond surface explanations and build a coherent framework that makes sense of the whole child.
These sessions may include:
-
Clarifying diagnostic questions and developmental patterns
-
Interpreting neuropsychological or school-based evaluations
-
Understanding why behavior differs across settings
-
Building practical regulation and communication strategies
-
Preparing for school meetings and advocacy conversations
-
Developing a long-term support plan that fits your child’s profile
This work is especially helpful for families of bright, verbal, or complex children whose needs may be misunderstood, minimized, or identified late.
Family therapy offers a comfortable space to talk openly, understand each other better, and learn new ways to communicate. I help families move past ongoing frustrations, reduce tension, and find approaches that fit their unique needs. The goal is to create more connection, clarity, and cooperation at home.
Supervision

I provide clinical supervision for LMSWs working toward their New Jersey LCSW. Sessions focus on building clinical confidence, sharpening assessment skills, and developing a grounded, thoughtful approach to practice. I also offer focused guidance in identifying and understanding Autism and ADHD, helping clinicians learn the nuances of these diagnoses and how to recognize them in real-world clinical settings.
Groups

I offer social skills and process groups for children, adolescents, and young adults. These groups provide a comfortable space to learn from peers while being guided by an experienced clinician.
An Autism-focused social skills group for teens and young adults is currently forming, where participants practice communication, planning, and real-time social interaction. New groups are created regularly based on interest and need.
